A great historical fiction told as a thiller. Told about a time period in the state of Oklahoma that I had no idea about. If you liked The Devil in the White City, you’ll enjoy this. Plus, I personally don’t know what the big deal is, there’s Leonard DiCaprio on the cover for you.

An epic histroical fiction thriller set in the late 1800s in New York City. It’s a long read but remains attention-grabbing throughout.

The Good Soldier Švejk

Most people who read this probably wouldn’t rate it this high, but I’m in the Army National Guard. I’ve never deployed, but I’ve been to the Joint Readiness Training Center(JRTC) in Louisiana. This is a dark comedy that reminds me of the chaos and non-sensical moments that happened during my time “in the box”.
